The Newmarket July Festival
The Newmarket racecourse, located in Suffolk, England is considered the home of British horse racing. It was founded in 1636 and today it is home to the largest group of training grounds in the country and many horse racing organizations (Tattersalls, the National Horseracing Museum, the National Stud).
The July Festival, a race meeting at the Newmarket racecourse, was first held in 1765. These three days of world-class horse racing bring together racing fans with entertainment, fashion and food.
The festival is famous for the July Cup race, one of the most prestigious sprint races in the world. Indeed, many of its winners have been recognized as European Sprint Champions. This Group 1 flat race open to 3-year-olds or older was inaugurated in 1876 and is run on the July Course at Newmarket over a distance of 1,207 meters. It is held on the last day of the three-day Newmarket July Festival meeting.
Arioneo at the July Festival
After a first appearance in 2019, Arioneo is proud to have sponsor a race in the 2022 edition of the Newmarket July Festival which took place from July 7 to 9th. It was a real pleasure to meet you and to talk about the emergence of data in the horse racing industry.
Our congratulations to the winners of the Arioneo Handicap Stakes race! Nizaaka, ridden by Egan David and trained by Jane Chapple-Hyam.
Arioneo’s future and ambitions in England
Both in 2019 and 2022, our experience at the July Festival in Newmarket is fully positive. This event, which follows the Irish Derby Festival at the Curragh, is part of our desire to expand our presence in the UK and Ireland. Indeed, it is an honor for us to support Irish and English races, and we wish to continue on this path.
